Arrowing a 165 whitetail in Illinois at 10 yards.
Tim Herald lives in Lexington, KY and has been hunting since he was six years old. He has hunted and fished all over the U.S., Mexico, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Brazil, Canada and New Zealand.
After receiving a Master's degree in Natural Resource Conservation, Tim has shared his experiences afield through the many newspaper and magazine articles that he has written (credits include, Turkey Call, SPORTS AFIELD, Wildfowl, Turkey & Turkey Hunting, Deer & Deer Hunting, North American Hunter, Petersen's Bowhunting, etc.). Herald is a member of the Southeast Outdoor Press Association, is the "Destination Deer" columnist in Whitetail Journal and writes the "Bowhunting Tactics" column for Bowhunt America. In his capacity as a Knight & Hale Game Calls, Thompson Center Arms, BowTech, ThermaCell, Horn Hunter Packs, Carbon Express Arrows, Winner's Choice Bowstrings, Nikon Optics and Under Armour Outdoor ProStaffer, Tim particularly enjoys teaching newcomers to hunting the calling concepts and decoy strategies that will make them successful in the field. Tim has conducted seminars throughout the U.S. and has also been featured in many major outdoor publications, television and radio shows, hunting videos, as well as ads, catalogs and commercials for various outdoor companies. Along with frequent appearances on television programs such as Realtree Roadtrips, Mossy Oak's Hunting the Country, Knight and Hale's Ultimate Hunting, North American Hunter, etc., Herald joined the staff of the Hunters Journal Television Show on the Outdoor Channel in 2003. Tim was added to the panel of 2006-2007 pros for Whitetail Country (ESPN2 Sunday mornings), and co-hosted LimbSaver Outdoors in 2007 on the Men's Channel. Tim will continue to host the award winning Outdoor America in 2009.
