Lighter bows can be great for mobility while adding weight or dampeners can virtually eliminate vibration.
Compound bows have an adjustable draw length range and should be set to fit your unique body size and shape.
Max draw weights can typically be reduced by 10lbs. This provides comfortable draw cycles for everyone while maximizing energy.
Today’s average bow speeds offer more forgiveness on the shot than ever. Faster bows can deliver more downrange energy.
Longer bows can increase stability while shorter bows can be better suited for maneuverability and tight spaces.
A longer brace height can offer more forgiveness on the shot while a shorter brace height can make a fast bow even faster.

I’ve had this bow for going on 2 years now. Got a custom string put on it. Didn’t need any more or less speed nocks on it. It’s been out in every condition Colorado can throw at it. Paired with a Blood Trail drop-away rest and Goldtip Piercer platinums that weigh 425 grains. This bow rips em down range. I did have an upset but also a testament to how well made this bow is. I was target shooting in the garage, going through the motions mindlessly and dry fired it. All that happened is the string came off the bottom cam and got a little tore up and the bottom cam is slightly bent. That’s it. No dramatic blow up, nothing like that. New cam and string, bowverhaul and she’s back to being a tak driver. Great little bow. When I do decide to get another new bow, this bow will stay with me.
The setup on my Carbon Knight is awesome….I sent it back and Bowtech adjusted to match the Icon setup, I added a BeeStinger Hunter Max 8”, I added a trophy ridge pro sight , I added a Apex Tailwing , I replaced with best Gas strings available, Added a QAD…. It’s so balanced and truly accurate. I shoot at 10 to 60 yards. My hardest shot is 10 from and elevated tree stand.
Enter the Hoyt RX7 Ultra 34 - , wow wow ….it’s unreal , I keep going back to shoot it. If my bow wasn’t so perfect right now, if Hoyts price was a little lower….it will most likely be my next bow unless Bowtech .develops something in the same class. It’s just in a different class and I could hold it drawn at 70 # forever
The carbon zion is a awesome shooting bow love it mathews or hoyt got nothing on this bow I shot both im sold on BOWTECH
I bought my Bowtech carbon Zion in 2020 this bow has not disappointed me any. It has the smoothest draw of any other high end bows that cost double what this one cost. I have shot Matthews since I started bow hunting. I highly recommend this bow to anywhere and I’m talking
I have had this bow now for about 10 months now and it's still as comfortable, crisp, and smooth as the day I bought it. The price is perfect for a bow of this prestige. The draw cycle, release, and hold are smooth and as easy as breathing. This is a piece of art. I told my pro shop what I was looking to do in the woods and they measured my reach, handed me this bow and I couldn't believe all the elements that fell into place. Whether you're a veteran shooter or a beginner, you should really consider this bow.
