Lighter bows can be great for mobility while adding weight or dampeners can virtually eliminate vibration.
Compound bows have an adjustable draw length range and should be set to fit your unique body size and shape.
Max draw weights can typically be reduced by 10lbs. This provides comfortable draw cycles for everyone while maximizing energy.
Today’s average bow speeds offer more forgiveness on the shot than ever. Faster bows can deliver more downrange energy.
Longer bows can increase stability while shorter bows can be better suited for maneuverability and tight spaces.
A longer brace height can offer more forgiveness on the shot while a shorter brace height can make a fast bow even faster.

Called in a 5x5 on 9/24/23 and success at ~30 yards. It was quartering away, GT arrow buried, only the nock was visible, broadhead, Montec G3, stopped in the far side shoulder after passing through the lungs. This bow, my second, shoots fast, weighs little. Smooth draw. I have it set at 68#. My buddy commented on it being quiet (which I find hard to judge when shooting), I don’t know if that matters, the bull is going to hear your string from 30 yards or less. But might be less spook? I harvested a wt doe from 50yds in Nov. Regardless, I could have spent twice as much money on another bow, but the elk would have been the same. I do plan to hunt with this bow for more seasons. If you’re just starting or considering an upgrade this one is budget friendlier.
Hands down the best bow for the money. I have had it for 2 seasons now and it has delivered. Perfect for Colorado backcountry. I have hunted both seasons and have not needed a tune yet. I may put a new string on it before this season but I will see how it does this spring. I have taken a deer and an Elk with it.
I’ve had this bow for going on 2 years now. Got a custom string put on it. Didn’t need any more or less speed nocks on it. It’s been out in every condition Colorado can throw at it. Paired with a Blood Trail drop-away rest and Goldtip Piercer platinums that weigh 425 grains. This bow rips em down range. I did have an upset but also a testament to how well made this bow is. I was target shooting in the garage, going through the motions mindlessly and dry fired it. All that happened is the string came off the bottom cam and got a little tore up and the bottom cam is slightly bent. That’s it. No dramatic blow up, nothing like that. New cam and string, bowverhaul and she’s back to being a tak driver. Great little bow. When I do decide to get another new bow, this bow will stay with me.
The carbon zion is a awesome shooting bow love it mathews or hoyt got nothing on this bow I shot both im sold on BOWTECH
I bought my Bowtech carbon Zion in 2020 this bow has not disappointed me any. It has the smoothest draw of any other high end bows that cost double what this one cost. I have shot Matthews since I started bow hunting. I highly recommend this bow to anywhere and I’m talking
