Finally a bow that fits like a glove with my long 31.5” draw. Smooth drawing, solid wall, and easy to hold consistent groups even after shooting 70lbs for an hour. Very glad I went with this bow.
Started back into bow hunting last Spring ('22) after drawing a once-in-a "lifetime" Colorado Moose tag. I was so set on killing a Moose with a bow, that I also carried my bow during the "muzzle' season. Shot my Moose at 41 yards... First shot broke the front shoulder, and the second shot went through the heart...It piled up about 30 yds from my first arrow. The Bowtech Revolt XL is so easy to shoot. I admit, I did practice weekly, had great instructors and technical assistance in setting-up the bow for "big game", and that eventually made my dream hunt possible.
Upgraded from a 2010 iceman. Wow what a difference in shootability! Great draw cycle an tech improvements makes me confident in those 45yd plus shots
I recently reignited my passion for bow after over a decade. I’m 6’8” and have a true 33” draw. I was stoked to find that my local pro shop had a bow long enough for me! And I could not be happier. I never knew such smoothness could exist. 100% satisfied customer here!
I have a 33" draw length (6'5" tall...) so my options were limited, but that doesn't mean I had to compromise on anything. The other models I looked at were the Hoyt Hightower and the Matthews Atlas. The Hoyt felt heavy and cumbersome, so it was immediately disqualified. I wanted to love the Atlas because it had a Ridge Reaper camo option, but after shooting it beside the XL the XL was the clear winner. As great as the draw is, what really impressed me was how forgiving it's valley is at full draw...you almost have to push the string forward to let down, which makes it super easy to hold for a long time and avoid accidental let downs.
This bow feels great in hand and even with a full quiver just BARELY needs any stabalizer or counterweight. I threw on a beestinger counterslide and with that it's consistently level and stable every shot. Finding micro-diameter arrows that can handle a 70# draw weight at this length and still have some FOC weight was tricky but my local shop put me on VAP SS at a 250 spine. With that I have a 100 grain tip and a 55 grain outsert--which still leaves me the ability to go up to a 125 grain tip if needed. Total arrow weight is 553 grains, and in performance mode the arrow is still coming off my bow at 280 FPS--it's actually punched through my old Block target at 60 yards and traveled another 20 yards down range! I never tried it in comfort mode because I didn't want to know what I was missing by leaving it in performance mode. Even in performance mode it feels like a smooth draw. The only thing I would change is to have it in Under Armour Ridge Reaper Barren camo...
